Kendall photographs Americana and other art expressions.

Kendall Reeves, a Bloomington native, started his love of photography early in life. He picked up his first camera at six and has been photographing people and places since. From that time on, he only had to look through the viewfinder to know his future would be commercial photography and that photographic art is in his soul.

Kendall is a Bloomington/Monroe County and Indiana University-Bloomington photographer, showcasing the community's beauty and many unique attributes—from charming scenes to the gorgeous landscapes of forested hills and lakes.

He also photographs other subjects but primarily focuses on Americana and preserving history. His topics include ghost towns, neon boneyards, abandoned buildings and prisons, houses, toys, technology from the past, mannequins, and old trucks and cars rusting in woods and fields.

Kendall earned his degree in Commercial Photography at Ivy Tech Community College in Columbus, Indiana, well-known for its Visual Arts program. He opened Spectrum Studio, Inc. in 1989, where he shoots local, regional, and national photography.

Kendall's photos are featured in works that illustrate the beauty of South Central Indiana and the character of its people and places. Kendall provided the photography for books including Bloomington: A Contemporary PortraitTerre Haute: The Crossroads of America, and A Home of Her Own. He has also provided photography for magazines, including Bloom Magazine and H&L Magazine.
