Meet Phillip Mahurin, a scrap metal artist who has been creating sculptures from discarded metal for over four years. At 36, Phillip continues to push the boundaries of his abilities, experimenting with new techniques and finding creative ways to grow as an artist.

Phillip’s work is rooted in transformation—giving new life to materials that have been discarded, overlooked, or never intended to become art. He has a talent for seeing potential in the unexpected and turning forgotten pieces of metal into something with new purpose, character, and meaning. For Phillip, every sculpture is an opportunity to challenge himself, learn something new, and create something that wasn’t there before.
